    Stock 305 Heads On A Stock 350...more Comp. ?

This Is A Side Question That Sprang From Reading Hopper111's Q. Putting 305 Heads On A 350 Will Increase The Compression I Take It. I Have A 305 From A 84 El Camino. Anyone Know The Size Of Those, And Will I Have To Modify Anything To Bolt Them On A 350 ?

305 heads are 58cc so they will raise the compression, problem is there very low flowing, so it would make your 350 into a high comp turd.
You don't know what you've got til it's gone

might work with a TON of port work done to it, you'll have to get it ported by someone who really knows what they're doing to get the maximum tolerences out of em, but if so, then it might work..... aftermarket heads would be a much better solution though

The Vortec heads will also raise your compression and flow enough to make around 400 hp without porting. Stick to convention, it is tried and true.

if you stick to convention, what happens to creativity?

There are reasons we say not to do it. 305 heads on a stock 350 = too much compression. If the 305 runs why don't you just use it as is?
