Are you sure the carb adjustment didn't come after the engine was broke ,to try to get it running again?If you are sure it was just a carb adjustment ,then you could concentrate on the carb.It sounds worse then a carb adjustment though.
When you drain the oil get a magnet or two and slide across the bottom of the pan to pull whatever,if anything,to the drain hole.Last edited by BigTruckDriver; 04-17-2006 at 07:34 PM.

i got the AC system charged and working,but it seemed to bog the motor down a little as it will,i was going to have the timing checked and tune up done after i got back into town.before i left town my son told me that he had adjusted the carb to stop the boging down when the AC was running.he drove it around for about 2 days then one day it wouldnt start(it didnt break down running it just wouldnt start)so he say`s.i asked when i got back how he adjusted it he pointed to the needle valve.that`s why i think it might seiged becuse of the bad gasoil lube the truck was getting...

thats then i`m going to strip her down and look around....thanks for all ya`ll great advice and i`ll let ya`ll know what i find.if anyone thinks of anything else leave a post and i`ll reply the more places to look the better,but i`m going to the oil pan,crank and fly wheel first. thanks again all advice is welcome. i`ll post pic`s of the truck soon......it`s sweet for 86 chevy
