I think I agree. Going bigger and not having to turn it so hard seems like the better idea. Doing it this way would also make it a lot more streetable huh?

Cant u make the 400 small block into 427 pretty cheap or can u go all the way to 454 out of that block or do u have to goto an aftermarket block to get 454?.!!!!!Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

Well, I know u can make up to 434 out of a 400, but I'm not sure if you can make 454 out of it. Seems like you'd have to have like a 4.125 stroke or so and a big bore. I'm not sure.

cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of a $1000.
