Crate 290hp 350 - Should I change the cam?
All,
For financial reasons, I decided to go with the 290hp crate motor for my '68 Camaro after my last SB grenaded. I noticed that the cam has 222 duration and 450/460 lift. Since I'm adding the intake/carb/etc. anyway, do any of you have recommendations on whether I should change the cam, go to roller rockers, etc. The car is a cruiser that I "occasionally" put my foot into , with a Muncie 4-speed and an 8.2 3.08 rear-end (haven't found a 12-bolt I can afford yet).
I'm sure that I can't be the first in this group to make this decision.
Thanks!

I think you'll like the cam that is in there. Maybe a Comp XE250H for a little extra oomph in the mid range. I don't know what the compression ratio is on that motor.
