    Would someone please run this on a Desk Top Dyno???

    Hello Everyone, First I was wondering what is the best kind of desk top dyno to buy??? {for windows computer}. I want to purchase one...
    Also if someone already has one would they please run this motor threw it??? HP & TQ if possible....
    Not sure what info to give so I'll just give everything that I can think of. If any more is necessary please ask....

    Bottom end; 400 small block, 413 cu. in., 4.185 bore, 3.75 stroke, 5.56 rods {stock 400}, flat top pistons with 2 valve releafs. .040 gasget, 0 desk height, compression is 9.9 to 1....
    Cam; will be a Comp Cams Hydraulic Flat Tappet, EX284H, with 240/246 duration @ .50" lift, Valve lift is .507/.510, but it has 1.6 rocker arms so lift is more, 110 lobe seperation. {is the lift 540/544 with the 1.6 rockers??? not sure if I'm doing this right???}.
    Heads; are AFR, 195 Street Heads, 74 CC combustion chambers, 2.05 intake & 1.625 exhaust valves,
    Flow is;
    @ inchs, intake, exhaust
    .200, 132, 108
    .300, 198, 156
    .400, 240, 178
    .500, 260, 190
    .550, 262, 192
    .600, 262, 194

    Performer RPM Air Gap Manafold {dual plane}
    Carb is an 850 Dbl Pumper {I think it's to big???}
    1 5/8" headers with 3" collectors {long tube}.
    2400 to 2600 stall
    Turbo 400 trans {reverse valve body} w/ Trans brake.

    {This motor put out 438 HP @ 5250 & 499 TQ @ 4000 on a flywheel dyno with a smaller Crane cam. Duration was 224/234 @ .50, lift was 488 with 1.5 rockers but it had 1.6's. Guy said it needed a bigger cam. That it'd put out way more HP but probably not any less TQ}.....

    Oh, the Comp Cams spec sheet says that the cam I want to use has an opperating range of 2300 to 6500. Does this sound right, with what seems to me as a pretty big cam???

    Oh and are there any changes that anyone would recommend???

    THANK YOU Bill, aka billlsbird.....

    Thank You Glenn ....

    It's going in a '32 Ford, so with me in it, it should weight around 2750. What effect does a light car have on the Stall??? Will it stall higher??? It also has 3.00 gears which are probably to high for my combo??? But that won't be hard to change with the Ford 9". I already have another 9" center section with 4:56's in it, but then thats probably too low! But gears aren't expensive, so no problem.....
    But I'd rather not have to purchace another Converter. I got this one years ago & if I remember it was like somewhere around 6 or 8 hundred....
    Oh & I'm closed big time on the Comp Cams Desk Top as I just got off of the phone w/ Summit, ordered one & it'll be here either Tuesday or Wednesday . It looks like it does some incredable stuff! I was woundering if having the heads CC'ed to flow like the Competition AFR 195's was worth it & I can just plug in the new flow numbers and see how much it helps! Thanks again Glenn, enjoy your
    week-end Bill
