    Question can anybody help????????

     



    this is the 2 numbers stamped in, on the front, (V0624CMJ ) & ( 15d240656) . It only has 2 bolt mains, and I think its from around the early 70s ? small block 350? I was just look'in 4 any thing you could tell me? thanks.. And if you know of a site so," I don't have to bother you guys with my junk" I sure would apprecite it,

    The casting numbers are wrong for a chevy. Early models start with a 3,4, or 6 and generally have 5 or 6 numbers and no letters. You can goto www.mortec.com for a complete listing of GM casting numbers for blocks and heads. Also gives location of each.

    jr, you're talking casting numbers, he's talking stamped, the "v" code is most definitely Chevrolet.

    Got-it Streets ! "Thanks" what book are you using? where can i get it? why are some different? Is there a "site" that I can just go 2 check ( that is RIGHT ) when I need to look them up?
