E-Z Change timing cover
Has anyone used those E-Z change timing covers by Mr. Gasket. I've got one and it seems like a good idea but no matter how many times I seal it with RTV at the bottom it always leaks. It may just be bad design but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. If I knew anything I'd be dangerous.

Normal covers are one piece and you don't have to worry about a leak. It's kinda like they should have drilled and tapped the bottom too so it would hold pressure against the gasket on the bottom. If I knew anything I'd be dangerous.

Had one like that years ago, it leaked so I chucked it. Then I cut the rear flange off the stock style one so it'd slip past the pan edge, and used lots of silicone. Worked perfect.
Great to see your new post, Mike, and great to see CHR up and running again after several days of the Hmmm, can't reach this page.... Also good that you found an easy solution to your storage/access...
