I know forced induction motor should have retarded timing if any timing ajustments are made. to far advanced under boost and you get detination., normally people just run a higher octane to compensate, rather than get a spark box with a boost retard, or retarding the timing all togther. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

timing and a blower
Well weiand recomends no more then 12 degrees advance at idle for sea level im running 18 degrees at 6,000 ft above sea level which is like running 8 degrees .
They told me to keep it at 8 - 12 degrees untill about 2,400 rpm then have full advance by 3 grand which mine does as i changed the advance curve springs myself with a total of 38 degrees for me .
Im also having to run a 10 pound boost pulley just to get 8 pounds of boost up here and its a blast i must say .
