    carb jetting..

so i've got rebuilt.. its in the car, accessories are on, radiator, distributor and starter are all thats left.

I was wondering.. Can anyone explain to me what jetting a carb is, how to do it, what the benefits are, and is it cheaply done to an Edelbrock 600cfm carb?

I keep hearing about it but I know not what it is.

If it's a new or undisturbed carb, leave it alone until you get the bugs worked out of the car.

Jetting is adjusting the air/fuel ratio for the altitude you drive at and also for the type of driving you do.

Take a look here for some further info:

Pretty much all you need to know about Edelbrock carbs.
