    good job if this is your problem, i just hope that the wet rag that you are using isn't giving you a false reading. i think that maybe you could try to get a temp reading at the engine and see if it is different then the gauge just to make sure that the temp is true at the engine so there's no damage to anything let us know

    No pics its on the passanger side of the intake on top near the head . I let it cool over night tried a hair drier and it affected the temp gauge after a few minutes .

    Maybe it doesnt sit down in the water far enough not sure
