    MSD... fault ignitionbox?

i bought a chevy V8 msd ignition kit.
    MSd ignition 6AL
    Blaster 2 Coil
    Pro Billet Distributor
    MSD 8.5 mm wires

I installed everything. Read and folowed all directions. I have power and my 12 volt ignition source hooked up...but no power to the coil. I think its fault. Any ideas?

Well, over the years I've had two boxes, one 6AL and a 7 bad out of the box.... No problems with MSD on the warranty, though.

I am a little sleepy, so i may be off base here.

Are you not getting 12 to the positive side of the coil or not getting pulse on the neg side?
My problems with MSD boxes have always been that I loose pulse from the box to the neg side.

Could be so if ya got power to the 6al then have someone crank theengine and check for flucuating power at the coils positive wire or yank a plug wire to check for spark .

Ive used the 6al and msd distrubitor with bad luck 2 times usually the 6 al box oes bad on me

turn key on find the with white wire touch to ground . it will spark thru the coil if the box is good from the coil wire . have it by some thing grounded and you should have a spark you need 12 volts thru the big red wire and you need 12 volts switch. i do not think you will see any spark you need to make the box discharge the box and the with white wire will do this it is a breaker wire if no spark it could be the dist .the hook up on the dist need to be un hook to do this. i think this is right but check with msd i have had good luck with msd stuff. they make very fine stuff
