Hello all. Great forum! I am looking for head/cam ideas for the following -

I have in my posession -

- .060 over 4 bolt 350 block, just back from machine shop
- .060 over KB Hypereutectic Pistons, (KB114's for a 6 inch rod, .388 dome, listed CR is 12.9 w/ 64cc 10.9 w/76cc head)
- Stock 400 crank and rods.


The vehicle this will be for is an '85 S10, 3300lbs. Already in the truck is a 3200rpm converter, 4.56 gears using 31" tall tires, and good headers.

This truck will get VERY little street duty, meaning race fuel is not a problem. I look forward to your head/cam suggestions.

Well, let's get squared away on the rods first. You say you have KB's for a 6" rod, then you say you have stock 400 rods. Stockers are 5.565", so your KB pistons won't work with them.

12.9 CR is a bit much for pump gas. that fancy $6.00 a gallon VP110 gets expensive. But for my Money, 64 cc World Products heads, ISKY 547-A Mechanical Flat tappet cam.
Edelbrock Victor JR on Alcohol. I ran this combo a couple years back in a 383. It was a great combo. I only run Roller cams now. If your budget will allow, there are some good ones out there.

I will have to re-measure the rods tonight. I am all but certain that they were 6".
