I have fixed alot of those Procomp heads, they are very crude as far as sharp edges and shrouded combustion chambers but if you spend a few hours flowing them and radiusing the short turns they will work okay to 450 hp.

    Pro Comp Heads

I Bought A Set Of These Heads For My Chevy 350.i Havent Run Them Yet.i Had To Drill Out The Alignment Pin Holes, and The Valve Guide Bosses Look Like They Need Ground Waaay Down, they Are Huge Compared To Darts And A Few Others Ive Seen.they Cant Be Very Flow Friendly.but In All Fairness, most Everything About These Heads Looks Right.pretty Good Machine Work.valvetrain Pieces Look To Be High Quality ,i Would Still Like To Know Who The Pieces Are Made By.the Company I Bought Mine From Gives A 2 Year Warranty.they Did Take Care In Assembly, all My Spring Heights Were Perfect.no Way To Be Sure Except Fire It Up And See How They Run.

Remember this...you still get what you pay for. If they are lots cheaper than other popular brands, there is a reason. And almost 100% of the time, it's because they're poor quality. I have seen the same thing with Pro-Topline heads...cheaper, yes...but the castings that I have seen are poor quality. Might be the same with these. If you could cast a lower cost head (or any part), all the guys would be doing it. The good ones cost more because they are better. Maybe you can make the cheaper ones flow better with port work, machine work, etc...but why should you have to do that? Spend a little more and enjoy the benefits.
