LS1 thought?
hey just seeing if anyone here toys with LS1's....all my racing buds are running the LS1 and Ls6 and i just find it sickening that wi th about 1500 dollars worth of just BOLT ONS that they are running faster than me in a big block.....
but it is a awsome little motor...all aluminum cant arguee with that after seeing the wieght diffrence in my camaro compared to there camaros and trans ams.....
THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!!!!!!
plus i am sick of being called the oldest 21 year old they know.....i cant help it if i like real cars, i feel sorry for the honda that ever hits my 67 goat....

Well the stock ls1 runs a 13.4 with a good driver.
my friends LS1's are pro-charged and on the laughing gas and they are dipping into the 10's and then driving home with the a/c on....i hate them
i have a 70 Z28 that i transplanted a big block into with a 4 speed muncie....some good go fast goodies
i can get the damn thing to hook but when she does she is 12.5 car
the GOAT is strictly a total restoration....she sees cruising and light duty...lol....if i were to crunch that car i would want to die.....but she has a nicely warmed over 400....4 speed mincie as well. 17" Torque II's.....she gets down the track....13.8 is the best i have hit...its a heavy ass car

Here's an idea!
How about an LS-1 with the displacement of a big block?
Check out http://www.cartek.net then open the "Whats New" page. An LS-1 block can be resleeved for a bigger bore then mated with a stroker crankshaft to displace 427 cid.
Another source for LS-1 performance upgrades ( and other neat engines/components! ) is Marcy Motorsports, http://www.marcymotorsport.com
Anyone wanting to visit with me about getting a new LS-1 block or crankshaft...stock or aftermarket can write me at dedonis@kans.com
Thanks!
Gerry
Thank you Roger. .
