The 177 blower will work but the belt set up makes me nervous.
I would save your money and buy a 6-71 for a few hundred more.
Erik's right about the rods. If your budget allows, I'd buy a top notch steel rod and a good piston no matter what you do. Along /w those aluminum heads, a tougher piston and a stout rod will help any detonation problems because your motor won't go to pieces at the first sign of trouble.
I heard a good quote in the snap-on thread "Buy quality, and you'll only cry once"

this cars does alot of street playing and crusing and aslo makes some trips to the track... i'd say 6-71 if i was be running the track alot but then i'm into alot of clearence issues.....i can pick up a 177 for $1700 plus tax and can still make it fit under the hood...and make some power...also can u run spray through a blower??? just curious i'd wouldnt do it just wanted to know...
