Mondy,
Streets is right. Kinda hard to make a recommendation without enough information. If you power brake the car, (Full throttle while holding the brakes down) What RPM will it rev too before it stops or it over powers the brakes? What is the timing set at? How much total timing does it have and what RPM is it coming in? What ignition system do you have and does it still have vacuum advance or is it all mechanical? How does it move once it gets rolling? Is there an RPM range where it really starts pullng strong? What RPM will it rev to? Since you did not mention it, I am assuming that it doesn't bog when you punch it. If you can give us some of that info maybe we can help you sort it out.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Mondy,
I have a 350 4 bolt main in my camaro and i used to have a 650cfm carb down jetted and it was still running way to rich, now I have a 550cfm and its running good but just a tad bit rich, so it may be over carbed.

thanks for the replies guys!! unfortunatly i do not have the specs on the cam,or info on the torque converter. when i power brake the car it overpowers the brakes just below 4000rpm. It has a choppy idle, and pulls really good at 3500 or so. Car runs well when she gets rolling. Thanks for any additional info you can give me.
Thank you Roger. .
