Help Identify These Heads And Block
I know you guys can help me identify these parts. I have a pair of SBC heads with small intakes and large exhaust casting number is 8725806 what are they off of? I have a block casting number 392099 to identify also. Thanks guys youare all the greatest

Roy, I looked at Mortec, and couldn't find either, but there was a head listed as:
3725306....56......265
Could you have misread some of the numbers? Maybe somebody else will come up with these exact ones, though.

Might want to look at the numbers again. I found a block, 3720991, on Mortec, showing it as a 55-57 265."oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"

Neither number is shown in the MSA-1 Casting Number book

Are the holes for the valve covers to mount straight across from each other, or are the ones on the top closer together than the bottom 2 ?

I'll double check the casting numbers and valve cover bolt holes and let you know. I am pretty sure Jimmyjeep is on the right track on the block. It came to me in a bucket of bolts and the guy I got it from had a 56 chevy in the past.
