Maybe it can or can't turn 12K. I'd like to see the dyno sheet and see if it is making any power, or just spinning..... If this guy can make a motor run that high and make power and live, he needs to go to NASCAR, those boys only run about 9500 max......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Bench Racing
What we have here is some of the very best bench racing in the world.
It reminds me of the old 5.0 boys and their 8,000 rpm engines that run 10.20's with a 3.55 gear and a 125 shot of n20.
It looks like I need to break open a case of the old BS spray.
I might have to bring in a crop duster if it keeps up.

This is getting harsh...
High rpm motors do exist. Nascar stuff runs 9500rpm for 500 miles at a clip. Prostock guys are now cresting 10,000rpms in 500cubic inch motors(with MONSTER spring pressures). Jesel industries caters to these types of racers. I have never(as of yet) heard of a pushrod V8 motor making useful power past a bit over 10,000. Even $50,000+ motors! I realize that tiny stroke sbc chevys should have an easier time spinning up and theoretically I do believe it is possible to reach 12,000. But holy crap would that be a difficult and expensive build, never mind WHY! Anyone that can still produce usable power at even 9000rpm in a pushrod V8 and still keep it together has my respect for sure.
If this guy has a motor that produces useble power to 12,000rpm he should be commended...h@!! he should get a medal or something! I'd be happy to eat my words here, but I still have a feeling this guy is overstating his motors rpm capabilities a bit.
