Headers on a G-body
Does anyone make full length headers for a SBC in a G-body that fit all the tubes inside the frame and aren't above $500. My Caballero (GMC's version of a El Camino) has Hooker or Headman SuperComps on it now and they have one tube on each side that is slip fit around the outside of the frame and I want to run bigger tires on the front and the old ones hit the tubes in a full turn already so I have a problem. I didn't know if I could just buy some headers for a truck around that year and just heat and bend the tubes so that they fit? It might be more of a task then it's worth.

The reason your Hedman headers are like that, is because they are equal length.........which means more power...You can buy cheaper headers, not equal length........less power...Your choice.

If you try to heat and bend header tubing, you'll ruin the headers.Jack
