    Motor mounts

I have a 77 camaro with a small block.I bought moroso solid mounts that mount on the block, but the frame mounts are to wide for the block mounts to go over. The frame mounts are 4" across but the moroso mounts are less than 3".A friend gave me some stock steel mounts that are supposed to mount on the block and fit the frame mounts but I can only get one side to line up the other side is way off the bolt hole.Something has to give, can anyone help a dummy out?Shouyld I buy new moroso frame mounts? But why would the stock horseshoe block mounts not align with the stock frame mounts?Did GM make different block mounts for cars and trucks?Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is this a high HP car? Street driven? If so, you really, really won't like those solid motor mounts. The vibration is really irritating. As I remember, that generation of Camaros has rather odd motor mounts compared to most earlier Chevys.

    Is this what you bought?

also remember, if you mount the motor solid you should also mount the tranny solid.

Not that I know of. Did you by the piece that mounts on the motor and the piece that mounts on the block from Moroso?
