Please go through the gasket leakage and other vacuum loss scources first. Then hook up PCV to the side port that the booster is attached to.Then attach the booster line to the manifold source usually at the port on #5 intake runner. I'ts a good start to get this thing settled down. Please go thru the leaks first.

That open port is a huge sucking vacuum leak. You should also think about moving your vacuum advance to a port below the primaries, like the one you have open in the pic.

Brake vacuum and PCV vacuum should go on the large vac. ports (intake manifold, or rear of carb) Vac. advance, and Tranny vac. line should go on 2 of the three small ports near the base of the carb. Plug any unused vac. ports. Someone here will correct me if I am wrong.

HHhhhhmmmmm.....double check by taking some NON-Chlorinated Break Cleaner and spray along the intake mount surfaces. How did the pinch off of the brake booster go. Did I miss that? There's always a simple solution this and we can't be there to help except for being here. You either have throttle plate missalignment or a vacuum leak still. Post back please and let us kow what is still happening.
