Can you guys tell me how to visually tell the difference between a 305 and 350 crank? Thanks..

Choff.... the majority of the time they share the same number and counter weight at flywheel flange. Even an eagle eye that has seen it all will have mis-nomers about which is which.Last edited by nitrowarrior; 05-18-2007 at 09:05 PM.
What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

Here's a little thing I found just now that might be helpful in the future:
"The easy way to tell the difference was that you could lay a straight edge on the machined surface of the crank and rod throws. The 305 crank would allow the straightedge to lay flat across five points, the 350 crank wouldn't. The difference in balance was in the mass of the counter weights, these engines were internally balanced[info from john lingenfelter]."Chuck Hoffman
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
