If you're a racer who will be disassembling the motor frequently, the floating pins will be easier to disassemble. They may also free up a little horsepower if you are looking for the very last bit of power you can bolt into the motor. I've found them more of a pain in the butt than anything else, winding and unwinding the Spirolocs.

If this is a street motor, it won't make a tinker's damn. Use the pressed rods and have it over with.
