New question help please. If I decide to put in a HEI Distributor how do I hook up the wiring. As I understand, somewhere in the wiring on this T Bucket, there is supposed to be a Ballast Resistor so hold back voltage from the coil. Will I have to find that and take it out and tie in a wire that will provide a full 12 volts to the new distributor. I'm unsure of all that needs to be done to change to a HEI Distributor as far as hooking up the wiring.

Ignition switch is at the bottom of the seat. All custom wiring and fuse block is under the seat. I'll have to follow wiring best I can from under the seat and see where it comes out to the coil which is located under the body near the rear passenger side of the engine. It might be easier for me just to get my distributor rebuilt and cleaned and find out why the vacuum advance is not working. I sure am learning alot though. Thanks so much for all your help

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
