Well we finished building the engine today, I didn't have any high hopes of it firing with the huge cam and tight lsa along with the 11.5-12 to 1 compression, but somehow we got away with the high compression, we drove it for about 10 to 15 minutes and it sounds wicked and pulls harder than anything I've ever driven(so far), we also put in a turbo 350 tranny and a 2800 to 3200 stall, not sure of the rear gears yet. We havn't got on it hard yet but we didn't get any detonation on the regular unleaded gas that was in the tank.
He wanted to be able to street drive it but judging by how it turns the rpms going down the road he isnt going to be doing much of that, it does sound awesome going down the road at about 3,000 to 3,500 rpms.
What kind of timing should we put in it? Right now its just set to where it starts the easiest which is very easy, all you have to do is hit the key and it fires immediatly, it also has the heaviest springs from the mr gasket curve kit in it. What do you recommend as far as timing?
Hated to see that news, he was a good online friend.
