302 chevy small block
I Have Agood 65 Chevy 283 Engine And A Good 63 327 Block And I Would Like To Build A 302 Engine (don't Ask I Have Always Wanted One And Love The Way They Sound). What Can I Use Out Of The 283?
Let Me Know What Some Of You Pros Think

you will have to pay big bucks for pistons. I have a 302 made from a 283 and uses stock 302 pistons.

I'd love to see what scooter put in the pm. I'll bet he advised boring the 283 block to 4" and puttin' the 327 block over in the corner wrapped in plastic for later use.

302 pistons
Don't know if they are still available but Silva-lite and Badger made 302 Pistons in Cast.I built a 302 SBC in the 70's they ran about $85 a set,I had the 302 in a '63 Nova ran it street & strip for 2 years+ till i sold itJust make sure you beef up the rods and rod bolts and get a quality engine balance,302's can really turn RPM's.

Learning must be difficult for those who already know it all!!!!
My grandfather, mom's side, drove a 39 Plymouth coupe when I was about 4 or 5 and I thought it was pretty cool and I loved the tail fins on the 49 Cadillac. I drew cars when I was in the 5th and 6th...
How did you get hooked on cars?
