I figure thats what the chevy guys do for attention with the small valve heads they think are big. My stock Ford small block 351 Cleveland head came with a 2.19 intake valve and a 1.71 exhausts they also came with guide plates from the factory.
HE! HE! HE! Well Dave you think this will get any of those little head chevy lovers going.

I used to put the 11/32 Ford valves in Chev heads with guide liners to save weight.

The last valves I had for my heads were 2.475

On the 392's we couldn't get past 2.100x 2.000 or they would hook together on overlap--with the Donovan alum heads changed the angles and eliminated some of that

I know Pat; just messing with the chevy guys.HE! HE!
The only thing the big cleveland heads are good for is all out racing.
For the street the 2.05 are much better, I know they started building the
cleveland engine when the emmission crunch came in to play.
Then they did away with leaded fuel and dropped the octane in the fuels.
Back when it was built though I was still able to buy about 112 octane and higher
from union 76. At least thats what I was running in my old BB charger with 11.5 to 1.
Today unless your racing it all the time, the big valve cleveland heads are not very pratical.
    Kurt
But my point is them big valves still came in a small block Ford.
HE! HE! HE! Not a big block, but a small block.
    Chevy lover.HE! HE! HE!
    Just kidding Pat.

WELL...... it s funny that the 351 head looks alot like a BBC head used the same rocker arm as a bbc if you go roller rocker the hp bbc came with 2.190/1880

Vara, While I am mostly an early Hemi guy, I do love them Chevys as well. Now with that said credit needs to go were credit "Really" belongs. That would be true of engine design as well wouldn't you think?

There is only one American made engine that ever won a "World Championship" only one. Care to take a guess ????

The Ford 289. Its the one and only when it comes to that...
