chevy. i never said to sell your pistons that would SHAWNLEE DUMB CHIT. i never said to run a cam with .700 lift. if you look back more like .550. dennyw nice job but you don't need a deg wheel to figure out the question i ask dave just a simple calulater... shawnlee posting youtub is some of the funnyest chit i have seen to a tech question.. your comparing what??? i never posted what i would run in chevy's engine so posting youtub is just???i can't even find the words for how dumb that is... chevy i have had my own biz building race engine and profiling all my own cams for 20yrs.. i was offering to help you profile a better cam for your combo o-well. you will be looking for a better cam 6month to a yr because the cars not running like you wanted it to. good luck with the car.

And I told you, there is absolutely no reason I need to know that.... I've been calling the same cam company and the same tech guy at that company for about 10 years now, even went with him a few years back when he switched companies. He's my expert, hasn't steered me wrong yet....
So if calling an expert who does cams for a living makes me something less of a human being, so be it.... I take my automatic transmissions to another guy. Vindicator has always built my carbs.... Sometimes going fast and being competitive means knowing how to delegate and accepting the fact that there are experts far better in a specific field then I am.... Now, should you want to discuss bump steer, roll centers, instant centers, weight transfer, metallurgy, roll cage and chassis fabrication or a host of other things then we can talk.... I learned long ago that learning something new is far easier when you don't already think you know it all...
Anyway, you've done an excellent job of insulting some very fine people. No matter what your skill level or degree of expertise in camshaftology it is no reason to insult people just because you seem to think you know more about a subject then they do... But I would imagine you've encountered this issue in the past and obviously failed to learn from the experience so there's probably not a lot of reason to mention it.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Talking about someone else when you can't even write a sentence without misspelling words and fragmenting sentences is really funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just because I don't use "YOUR" recomended cam you feel that I will be changing cams in 6 months to a year, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because of your alleged expertise in camshafts, I doubt you would be granted any sort of exclusivity in posting in the engine forum. There are many here who have a great deal of experience in engines and offer some very solid advice sans the put downs and chest thumping.... As a side note, the majority of us don't like to see swearing in these threads, we try to keep ourselves policed so that the information and word usage has a "G" rating....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

11's is not hard. 5.13 a bit steep unless you wanna rev it to the moon. 4.56 to 4.88 preferable. keep the car light and choosing a cam for the car and weight with the combos you mentioned is very doable. What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

with 488's car went through the traps at 6200 not where it makes power, no dave enxt time will be a solid roller though. i know i should saved up but things happen,

peak power is around 7-7500 so 6-6200 was not gettin it through the top end like it should of been
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
