Just put on a new set of sportsman headsll with 190cc intake runners and 72cc fast burn chamber. I have no way of testing HP now w/o a dyno, but the way my truck handles I'm betting around 40-50 more HP. I'm having my tranny(350th) rebuilt and want to put in a shift kit and was wondering if I should have it shift at 5,000rpm's or I can go as high as 5500. For those who are wondering what my engine is it's a 305 bored .060 over with a 218/224 cam which is good for rpm's of 1500 -6000 range. My engine will turn 5500 with no problem with the valve springs and lifters I have now. This will be driven on the streets and occasional drag strip.
