    tail light problem

When I have my head lights on and push on the brakes, one of brake lights goes out. when the brakes are released, both rear running lights burn normally. If I dont have my headlights on, one brake light is dimmer than the other. They are dual filament bulbs. I've checked and rechecked my wiring but cant find any wires crossed or shorted. Please help!
    thanks.

    brake lights

I had the same problem sorta, when the park lights were on and I hit the brakes one tail light would go out with the park lights off one would be dimmer when I hit the brakes. Mine was a bad ground , you might want to check that if your sure your wiring is right.

Agree it's a ground problem. Besides checking the wiring, also check the bulb socket for corrosion, or a loose fit in the housing. That socket is part of the ground circuit.
