from what i see i see alot of headstrong stuborn people on here that like to argue about anything and everything....
I like to come on here and talk to people cause i'm bored i have 2 step daughters and a pregnant girlfriend who is due on june 27th and i work full time art an auto parts store. So i don't get to work on anything as much as i used to and i'm dieing to work on my 48 dodge truck but yet i'm couped up watching kids, working, cooking dinner, helping doing homework, putting kids to bed, I don't drink and hang out with friends anymore when i use to go out every friday and saturday night, i didn't go to any car shows that i wanted to over the summer, the only thing that i've got to do is work on my dads car and its been a month since i've touched it since i don't have time and i might get her back together by this spring i'm hoping. but otherwise i work my ass off and have a stack a bills and i don't dare do anything to blow money cause we might need it for food, power, heat, whatever. and its so frustrateing and stressful to struggle month to month. but yet i come onto this site to try and get away from that for a while to bullshit about cars and engines and share what i do know since i don't get to work on them as much as i'd like to.Derek Doble

Yeah i hear you denny i'm always looking for a better paying job to try and get ahead and be able to afford to do the things we use to and then some cause we would like to buy a house by next fall. Right now we're renting a trailer house from a family friend for $300 a month plus all utilities and car payment and insurance cel phones house phone internet propane it all adds up ya know and gets overwelming at times and kinda shows no hope of doing better. plus having stuff pop up like my 97 s10 GMC jimmy broke down and wonder where we're going to get the money to fix it?Derek Doble

speaking of which its a 97 GMC jimmy 4x4 and i used it to try and pull out my 91 s10 blazer to get that going for a 2nd vehicle. but it has push button fourwheel drive and when i had the tow strap hooked up i put it in 4hi and started to pull out the blazer and it would go into 2hi on its own so then i tried 4low and started to pull and it went into 2hi again when you start to break traction then when i tried to put in in 4hi or 4low again the buttons were flashing at me so i gave up and drove it home well when the old lady took it the next day to go to an appointment it broke down when she got into town it started making a grinding noise so she pulled into a gas station and my sister rescued her and they brought it to the shop. I'm wondering what it is do you have any ideas?????????????Derek Doble

[QUOTE=That 4x4, you say is push button. Does that mean you have a vacuum setup ? If so, probably water is frozen in the lines. Make sure you put a good drier in line with it. Other things, like un even tire sizes will cause trouble also.[/QUOTE]
I don't really know i know the older ones like my 91 were vaccume but this one has a electric motor on the transfer case to select 2hi 4hi 4low? its a 97 4dr S15 GMC jimmy SLE 4x4 4.3 vortec and either a 700R4 or a 4L60?
my 91 is a 4dr 4x4 with a 4.3 TBI & 700R4 and a new process (NP) transfer case NP 205 or 208 or something?
as far as tires they both have new tires the 91 has 29 x 9.5 x 15 aggressive tread and the 97 have new goodyears on them 235/75R15 all seasonDerek Doble

Thanks! It's the most metal forming I've done. I was wishing I had an English wheel and a planishing hammer.
