One thing to remember is that cheaper is not really better. Cheaper in price means you are paying cheaper in quality. You can find the cheapest "damper" but dont be mad when the thing flys off at idle or above.Friends dont let friends drive fords!

I have some of the SBC factory MALL dampners that are degreeed 360 and hane the 3 bolts that retain the ring--used them on the Indy stock block cars back then 1980s-

They are 8 inch internal balance units--360 degreed--there are three bolts installed thru the outer ring into slots machined in the hub to retain the ring-the slots allow the ring to work to dampen the harmonics but retain it from forward/rearward movement---
