Oil Leak
I got my Nova out get some miles on new 355. When got home passenger side inner fender covered in oil. It's sprayed oil from some where. I change fuel pump and plate gasket checked bolts [fuel pump passage ] in front block. Cleaned everything up went for ride and oil is back on inner fender well. It's almost quart low. When engine was run on stand twice did'nt leak drop of oil. Seem to do it only when you got your foot in it. Had this car on jack stands running , even break torque it no oil. Only front block blowing back on bottom car.

What do you have for breathers or PCV valve? Could be blow-by pushing oil out past a gasket. Our race team page

Which side is your dipstick on? If crankcase pressure is building under load it can push the dip stick up and spew oil out the tube.Buying parts I don't need, with money I don't have, to impress people I don't like

I would think stock length bolts would work, the gasket doesn't look that much thicker. I use studs on mine, it's just easier. Our race team page
