No, too much fluid would not cause that problem. My guess is that you do not have the timng set correctly on the engine, therefore it is not producing the torque it used to at low rpm. Is your vacuum advance hooked up and working properly? Did you change cams?

Man, it sounds like you have a lock-up converter that is in the on position at idle.

Wait a minute, this is a new tranny. Gezz, I miss read your first post somehow.

Here is the deal, your frictions and steels also known as clutches are too tight or your band is not adjusted with enough clarence. I am thinking that they are dragging. What will happen if you drive it as is, they will get looser, hehehe and within a month or so, it will be just fine! Someone installed one too many clutches in the 1-3 pack.

500 klms or 300 miles is the break in period for clutches. As for how long before it will start losening up, your guess is as good as mine, but keep us informed. If you have high performance clutches it will take a little longer, but one or two hard runs, as in petal to the metal, might take care of it. We are only talkin' .005-.01 of an inch before it will work properly. I beleive the proper clarence is about .015-.02

I LOOKED AT THE SCEMATICS ON THE TRANNY AND DONT UNDERSTAND THEM COMPLETLY. B&M SAYS THAT IT SOUNDS LIKE MY FORWARD AND REVERSE BANDS ARE ACTIVE AT THE SAME TIME BUT IT WORKS QUITE WELL STRONG SHIFT JUST NO STALL. YOU THINK I SHOULD JUST DRIVE IT HU?
