    Crane 274H06 cam

Just thought I would report on the 274H06 in a low compression 350 260 hp GM crate motor in an 81 Vette, 4 speed, 3.73 gears, Edel. Performer intake and 600 carb, and headers. The crate motor is listed as 8.5 c.r. but some tests I have seen show only about 8 to 1. The low and mid range with this cam is awsome and the idle is very potato potato even at 1000 rpm. Vacuum at 1000 is 14" and 11" at 800. This cam is only 218-218 duration and .450-.450 lift on a 106 lsa. Still pulls hard after 5000 rpm. Would probably require a mild stall with an auto trans. but there a guys running this cam with 3.08 gears and a 2500 stall with good results.
