breathers and pcv routing.
bought an old truck w/ tramsplanted 350 from an '89 camaro. tpi motor w/aftermarket intake and electronic q jet. the electronics have been eliminated. any hoo the motor had aftermarket valve covers w/ breathers in each. cover gaskets seemed to be leaking and after a couple of attempts to reseat them they still leaked. i figured a pcv would help and put one in w/ the 2 breathers. i teed the pcv w/ the trns vacuum which comes right outta the rear manifold. started seeing smoke on acceleration from idle and figured vacuum was pulling oil at idle causing the smoke. went back and disconnected the pvc. now the breathers are dumping oil on the exhaust so i've got smoke outta both ends. thinking about stock covers from the junk yard. am i missing something obvious? don't like the breathers, don't like the smoke from the pcv. help. thanx in advance, rick
