Which heads??
I have a 350 bored .030 over. This engine is for street use. I was wondering what heads I should get I was told to get Dart or AFR heads. Which heads do you guys recommend? What others do you think would perform the best??

Airflow Research aluminum heads are the Rolls-Royce of heads in my opinion. I play with my DynoSim quite a lot, putting different combinations together and the AFR's consistently show more torque and horsepower than any other head.
Build it 9.5:1 static compression ratio, 0.035" to 0.045" squish with AFR Street 180 Cylinder Heads, CompCams 270H Magnum cam....
Hyd. 1800 to 5800, Part No. 12-211-2, Grind No. 270H, 270*/270*, 224*/224* @ 0.050" tappet lift, 0.470"/0.470", 110° LSA.
Bolt on 1 3/4" equal length headers and 2 1/4" pipes with mufflers of your choice. Top the motor with an Edelbrock RPM intake and 750 carb. You'll make 430 hp and 470 ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel on pump gas. Will work with stock converter, but a 1800-2000 stall would work a lot better. Makes a great street motor.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Tech is right, AFR makes a great head. What carb and type, brand, intake and type exhaust are you running with your set up?
Live everyday like it were your last, someday it will be.

Edelbrock performer intake and a 600 cfm manual choke performer carb. I have hooker headers to thrush exhaust into cherry bomb glasspacks

What tranny would work best under these conditions if I built the engine to what tech said? What is a good stall converter that isnt too pricey?

Yea they can be pricey but I think a good head is the 2nd most important thing in engine building so you need one of the best
Thank you Roger. .
