    Performance expectations

Hey guys I really enjoy the site and have learned a great deal in the short time I have been a member. I recently replaced the cam in my 355 and had the guides cut down on the vortec heads which are on it. I changed the cam from a 268 High Energy comp. to a 268 Extreme Energy Competion cam. I believe the specs are 224/230 and 477/480 with 110l/c. I have z28 springs and stock rail rockers. Other than the guides and springs the heads are stone stock. I have a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with a 750 Speed Demon carb. I realize thats too big of a carb but its what I had. The bottom end has cast flat top rebuilder pistons. The rotating assembly is balanced and has a windage trey with a deep sump pan. I'm running Flowtech Afterburner headers
i believe they are 1 5/8. I have a Summit hei and Taylor wires.
The rest of the drive train consists of TH350 with 2200 stall. The rear end is a 9" slightly narrowed to allow for 295/50's with 4.11's and Trac Loc.
It has multi leaf springs moved inboard with slapper bars. Future plans call for 3.50 gears and a smaller carb. I've cosidered a Sean Murhy tweaked qjet.
I greatly appreciate any advice or suggestions as well as HP, torque, and possible quarter mile time estimates. I almost forgot to mention the car in question is a 69 Nova, all steel, and somewhere around 3650 lbs with driver. Did I mention thank you.

I'd guess about 325 HP and 370 Ft Lbs. As far as quarter mile times, about 100 MPH and probably mid to high 13's.

That's assuming sticky tire, open headers and a good wheel man.

    Good luck.
Buying parts I don't need, with money I don't have, to impress people I don't like
