what roller cam for a 97 vortec motor
what up fellas i have a 97 350 vortec motor. this is my first roller motor so i need help the motor has 100,000 miles on it still strong. what cam would give me a very aggressive idle without losing my low end. i know how it works with flat tappet but ive heard you go for more duration with a roller cam is that true? i know that a lower lsa will change the power band and idle. oh yeah going in a 85 mcss weigh 3500 lbs 3.73 gears non posi, and th350 rebuilt shift kit no stall thanks it will be a daily driver with 2 or 3 times a year at the track

If you are willing to pull the heads and modify the guide for retainer clearance and change the springs, the GM Hot Cam works pretty good. http://www.chevyhiperformance.com/te...ams/index.htmlRAY
