Wonder if 'Da Zone' rents them? There is no limit to what a man can do . . . if he doesn't mind who gets the credit. (Ronald Reagan)

tried postin this - all my posts get a message they have to be reviewed first by the forum moderator. not sure why.
anyway... i have checked pepboys, oreillys etc. nobody has them or rents them. I'd like to get one that isn't just going to support SBC only. problem is they are 200 bucks and i dont have that laying around right now... so am looking to see if anybody has a tool to loan for a weekend. thx

Try Lone Star Performance in Garland/Dallas. They might be able to help or advise.

Unless you are doing this on an ongoing basis it seems to me it is just as cost effective to have your local machine shop pop them in for you. My guy gets $20.00 to do them, and I do maybe one or two engines a year max, so I just let him do it. Plus, he does them daily and knows how to get them right, something I might screw up doing it infrequently.
I like owning tools, some of which sit for long periods between use, but this is one I don't feel the need to buy.
