Which engine to build
I plan to build an early chevy truck. 41 thru 53. I am down the road age wise and want it to be a cruser that my wife and I can have fun with. While looking for the truck, I thought it would be a good idea to get started on the engine. I have two low mile LT1's from F bodyies, both with aluminum heads minus FI and a high milage FI complete 1998 truck vortec all 350 in my garage. I am looking for suggestions as to which engine would be the best/easiest candidate to get 350+hp and be reliable. I am new to CHR but have seen quickly that it's best to "plan your work and work your plan" than throw darts at it. All the engines would have to be disassembled and inspected to see what they need before going forward. Got some time on my hands.Last edited by sfort; 03-20-2009 at 07:45 PM. A man was watching his wife as she prepared to fry sausages in a pan. He noticed that before placing the sausages in the pan, she always cut off both ends, threw them away, and cooked only the middle...
