Had you been having oil pressure problems before that happened? You don't think you have an oil port stopped up in the block somewhere do you? I put a high volume pump in a 302 for my old truck and it provides plenty of pressure. I have a 7 quart oil pan on it though. I also have one in my old chevy truck which has a 5 quart oil pan. If the oil gets a quart low and I hammer on it it'll suck the pan dry and I lose pressure so be carefull.

the oil pump has nothing to do with the roller lifters they work off splash for lube for street use you can use a hv pump if you have the added oil capacsity but if the engine is not set up loose i would put a stock 3/4 inlet pump m155. if your going to run a soild roller cam you should look at a hippo solid roller that will put oil on the roller and pins thru a small oil port drill in the lifter body that feeds off your lifter oil galleyIrish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
