Thread: Crazy 350 build*****need input*****

Im looking for any kind of input for my 350 build.

The block is a one piece rear main, bored .30 over, crank has been cut, and I have a set of vortec 350 heads.

I would like to know what I need to get a good combo that would put out about 400-450 hp.


Fast info would be great, because i would like to get this built before the month of June.

what was done to mine was a edelbrock rpm performer package. i am producing 410 hp in my 350. go to edelbrock.com and look around. have owned it for 2 years and not have had any real problems with the set up.

Also have another question. I have a Comp Cam XE 268h-10 camshaft layin around and was wondering how it would work in a 87 sbc 305 with tuned port injection.

you could call www.competitonproducts.com there in oshkosh wi talk to techs over there they can build a package cam and all parts or there are other as well. i buy from them as well as PBM /Erson cams .you may want to talk to your machine shop to see what they like for parts. pistons should be in hand at time of boring and for decking the block
