While cooler air piped in from outside engine compartment would for sure be the answer, desire to keep same body configuration poses a problem. Using my Spal 2360 cfm puller fan and changing thermostat will probably be the best that I can hope for. Thanks again for info. Next confrontation for this curmudgeon is to figure out how to hard pipe from electric fuel pump on drivers side with direct connection to 1406. Have threaded flex hose at pump discharge, but wish to remain solid to carb and avoid a banjo fitting with barbed connections. Again-thanks for your time.
