    406 combo for dad

I'm building a .030 over 400sb (509 casting. I was wondering if some of the well-versed experience might give their opinion on the combo I have selected. The block is at the shop and is due out this week. I have already purchased the rotating assy but I am waiting for some advise before I buy the heads and cam. Here it is:

Street/ Strip 1966 el camino( restored)

    Rear- 8.2/ 10 bolt/ auburn posi/ 3:55...I know, this rear sucks!!!
trans- race prepped 350/ 2500 converter

Engine- 400- .030/ skim decked 2 bolt main
    milodon main cap bolts
    scat 9000 crank
    scat 6 inch i beam 4340
    JE forged piston dish

The camshaft i have chosen is a comp hyd roller pn-12-433-8/ 288XR
    288/294 236/242 .520/.540 lsa 110

The heads I have chosen are Brodix IK 200/ 200cc 2.02/1.60 70cc chamber
    Aluminum

    weiand stealth intake

    holley avenger 770 carb

the compression should be about 10.7 to 1 with a fel pro .041 gasket

My concerns are: is 200cc too large for this eng?
    is the compression streetable?
I have desktop dyno but don't know how to determine the head flow on it.

I was going to buy the AFR 195 heads but the mom and pop speed shop here does not sell AFR...I try to give them as much business as I can.
They advised that they also sell patriot heads
Thanks for any help or opinions.

    Go with what you have.
Opinions on this site are like A**holes and elbows.
You'll be choked down on head selection or your wallet will pumped up beyond recognition (FUBAR).
You're combo likes a minimum of 195cc's intake breathing and a max of 225 (nice head choice). You're dead on with the squish/quench of your piston and rod combo.
Overlap and off the seat valve timing are great for this set up. Rod length and main cap selection will make this thing pleasant to drive.
Make sure your convertor selection is in the RPM range you want it to be.
Personally, I would go bigger on carb CFM selection, you may find you guys are happy with it, but one step, maybe two, will be something you might be happier. Desktop dynos are fun, to a point, but this thing should go forward as it is and tune accordingly. Watch for proper Air/Fuel ratios. More than enough is a good start point then pull it back for all around use.
What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

I agree with nitrowarrior on your combination. You have figured a strong combination that should work well for a street/strip car. You should be okay on the compression ratio given the overlap, but I would double check the DCR just to be certain where you stand and what kind of fuel you can run.
