My new 350 build Ordeal! Techinspector you out there?
Okay everyone I appreciate your suggestions for my other engine build.
Now my situtation has changed. I found a truck for sale with the right trans and a goodwrench crate motor with the howell fuel injection system. Also I recieved a megasquirt computer in the deal its brand new and never u used. Suposedly the power train has only 35K on it. I have seen the reciepts for the engine. So at the very least its 3 years old.
Okay so I want to power this thing up it only has like 250 hp. What can I do? I want to keep the EFI and retune it to work with what I add to the engine.
I still have a set of rebuilt 062 heads. Should I put them on? Should I change it to the megasquirt? Should I rering the engine?
What would you guys do? I am trying to build a torqu-eeyy 350 hp engine on fuel injection.
THanks I really appreciate everything.

The cheapo goodwrench engine
350 Cubic inches 4.00" Bore, 3.47" stroke
8.5:1 compression ratio.
250 HP @4300 rpm
350 ft. lbs of torque @ 3600 rpm
I think I have been told 12cc pistons
4 bolt main
The fuel injection is a howell Multi port injection with the 2 bbl throttle body
I am trying to get between 350 and 400 hp but will take torque over high hp. I want it to be a daily driver capable engine.
Thanks Brian

You will need to raise the compression..change the camshaft. Flat top pistons, small chamber aluminum heads [64cc] would be best. headers and a tuned exhaust.

Okay so I spoke to howell fuel injection. They told me that the two Multi port system could support about 330 hp. From what I understand the fuel injection can be written to accept whatever cam/head combo I put on here.
So can someone suggest some heads and a cam to bolt on this gm goodwrench engine. I am looking for a very torquey (or as much as possible) 330 hp engine build.
Any suggestions? I want to keep the "stock" short block, I dont really want to bang out the pistons.
Thanks
