383 TBI to Vortec
I have an oppertunity to get this 383 ( LISTED BELOW ) but I'm trying to figure out if the crank on this 383 will accept the reluctor wheel from my L31. I'm NOT GOING TBI, I'm just mainly wanting the engine and switch all my stuff over to it.
Anybody have any answers.
383 Stroker SBC (NEW) Complete Engine $2000
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a brand new rebuilt 383 stroker SBC. Early 90's 1 pc rear main seal block, bored .030 over, 2 bolt main. New SCAT 9000 series 400 crank with 350 journals, new I beam rods, new KB pistons..18cc dish, New childs and albert rings new fully assembled Vortec Heads (64cc), milled to accept larger springs. New Comp Cams springs, New Comp Cams Pro Magnum roller rockers(self allignning), New Comp Cams push rods, New Comp Cams roller lifters, New Comp Cams Roller Cam(extreme energy 4x4). This is an OE roller motor. The heads have the JEGS, tall smooth polished valve covers(centerbolt). It currently has a Crusader Marine vortec dual plane intake on it which is designed for TBI injection. All new bearings, seals, and gaskets. complete from intake to oil pan. Has a new 2 pc Edelbrock timing cover for quicker cam changes, and a new true double roller timing set. Melling high volume oil pump and a new pickup. Set up for remote mount oil filter. Lokar oil dipstick. The Engine was professionally built by Gabriels Machine shop in Winterville, Ga. The full rotating assembly was balanced and blueprinted from the crankshaft pully, harmonic damper, all the way to the flexplate(flywheel). This combination dynoed at 497 ft lbs @ 2000 rpm, and HP was only around 350. This engine has never been started. It has been sitting in my project truck for nearly 2 years. Turned over periodically. Pulled it out this week. It was Sealed up with plugs and headers capped. There is zero sign of moisture, and the motor turns over freely. The exterior is dusty, but the internals are polished up brand new. Change the cam to XE282HR, intake to an RPM Air Gap and have 500HP, and 500 ft lbs....proven. First $2000 gets it.
