Great thread, but now I am questioning my fuel filtration system...

I have a Professional Products canister type fuel filter pre-pump, I believe it is 10 micron. I am not sure of the element type (probably paper) but there is a PP replacement filter as well as a FRAM element.

I have plans to install an inline post pump/pre carb filter, would a 40 micron there be enough? Should I revise my fuel filtration schema entirely?
