I found this on another site.
This is out of a 1970 Chevelle, it is the 300 horse power block, it is the 4 bolt main, it is still STD bore, the casting # is 3070010, the date is A-31-0. The code on the pad is CRE.Friends dont let friends drive fords!

Could it be 3970010? That matches with the 300 HP, 4 bolt 350 use in A, F and X bodies in 1970."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

you may want to recheck the second # it could be a 9 instead of a 0.
3970010 is 68 to 76 350.

010 block
'010' blocks are very common. I have three of them. The one I'm running now is a four bolt main. The other two are two bolt blocks. A very few of them were 327's when Chevy went to cast cranks with bigger journals on non hi-po applications after '67. This is good block.
