Cam question
I have an 87 Suburban block that was set up for roller cam or so I thought. Lifter bores were counter bored that releived oil pressure. I have a 99 vortex fuel injection system with plastic front cover & crank sensor. I have gone to a flat tappet cam but have no way of securing cam with plastic front cover. Is there a flat tappet cam that is set up with a retainer groove. Thanks Zeker8

well your not going the right way on this why would you take a roller out to put a flat cam in ?????????? you do not need the plate to hold the flat lifter cam on track as the cam turns the lifters holds the cam some what from moving the lifters are really not flat. you need a chain set for a big nose cam they made them a 90 chevy truck timming set should work it will not have the step nose cam and you will need new pushrodsLast edited by pat mccarthy; 06-28-2010 at 06:31 AM.

If your wife has a friend that annoys you don't tell your wife to stop being friends with her. Just casually mention how pretty she is... .
